Rentals and Outfitting
We can help arrange transport of sea kayaks and other rental gear throughout SE Alaska. You can sign up for one of our guided trips, or we can help you plan and outfit your own Alaskan paddling expedition anywhere in SE Alaska. We specialize in building customized trips for a wide range of experience and skill levels, with trips based in town, at a base camp or lodge, or a full-on, two-week backcountry trip. Alaska is a very dynamic environment with quickly changing weather and conditions in a complex seascape. We therefore rent and outfit only to paddlers who have the experience and skills to travel safely through this ever-changing environment. We recognize guides and instructors of various levels from the BCU, ACA and guides registered and certified with the ISKGA for multi-day rentals. For day rentals, we are happy to rent to individuals who may not have these certifications but have attended one of our paddling courses and shown proficiency in self and assisted rescue.
