A day on the fjord

3 Day Fjord Paddle

3 days on the water around Haines will only just start to give you a feel for this immense wilderness situated at the northern end of the inside passage.  Leaving the little town of Haines on day 1 will see us loading kayaks and paddling to our first camp or loading our gear into a local water taxi and meeting our kayaks at our base camp.

5 Day Chilkat Island Paddle

This 5-day sea kayak trip highlights the stunning scenery that makes Haines, Alaska the Adventure Capital of Alaska.

We begin our trip on the beach in front of the historic Fort Seward. The first day is a short paddle across the Lynn Fjord and into the Tongass National Forest.  At 17 million acres the Tongas is the largest national forest in the United States.

Our first camp is just above the intertidal zone and teaming with bird and marine life.  After making camp we will take time for a forest hike that is sure to include signs of moose, bear and a host of other wild things that call this area home.
